Winery Notes:
The 2021 growing season was marked by a dry winter where the North Coast received lower than normal rainfall. This put the vines at risk as there was very limited water in the soil which triggered low vigor growth and a low fruit yield. Ultimately, a cool summer was the saving grace, and the tiny clusters were able to ripen evenly without experiencing dehydration which would lead to overwrought flavors. The resulting wines are a bit more concentrated in flavor and color, and 2021 should prove to be a spectacular, but unusual vintage.

This white opens with pretty flavors of peach cobbler and a note of wild fennel, accented by sweet cream hints and a touch of lemon mint, before the intense acidity swoops in and brightens up the flavors, adding a mouthwatering liveliness on the finish. Drink now. 995 cases made.

Good balance and mouthwatering acidity bring a zesty expression to this medium-bodied wine. Green apples, apricots and a hint of coconut light up the flavors. Light oak and mineral accents develop with more sips, adding extra interest.

Lifted with ripe aromas of fresh peach, the 2021 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is generous with orange peel citrus, delicate baking spice, and fresh white flowers. Medium-bodied, with snappy, refreshing acidity (but not austere), it offers notes of ripe green apple, vanilla custard, and lemon balm. This is a fresh and inviting white to drink now or over the next several years, and it offers great value.
