Winemaker Notes:
The 2021 Amici Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful, rich, and beautifully balanced wine. Dense aromas of dark cherry and plum are accented by hints of cocoa and creme de cassis. The full-bodied palate presents notes of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, baking spices, and toasty oak. Silky tannins are laced throughout the long finish, promising beautiful ageability for years to come.

Aromas of blackcurrants, iodine, oyster shell, and dark chocolate. Medium- to full-bodied with polished fine tannins that run the length of the wine with chocolate, hazelnut, and blueberries. Give it time to come together. Better after 2025.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of creme de cassis, chocolate mint, and redcurrant preserves leap from the glass with underlying suggestions of crushed stones, mossy tree bark, and cast-iron pan. The full-bodied palate is rich and impactful, with bright red and black fruit flavors and a firm grainy texture, finishing long and lively.

Flora, fruity and super-accessible, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is fabulous. Drink this friendly, approachable Cabernet over the next handful of years.

The base 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley should certainly be outstanding. It offers classic darker cassis and cherry fruits, some graphite and chocolate nuances, medium to full body, and a plush, rounded, yet concentrated profile on the palate.

Standing out as a solid value in Napa Cabernet, Amici's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is slightly herbal, with a touch of matchstick on the nose as well, but those elements give way to deep cassis notes and hints of cedar. A blend of several vineyards, matured in 65% new French oak, it's medium to full-bodied and tightly wound but reasonably textured, with a long, velvety finish. Drink it over the next decade or so.
