2017 Quinta Vale do Meao "Meandro" Douro
The 2017 Meandro do Vale Meão is a blend of 33% Touriga Franca, 45% Touriga Nacional, 15% Tinta Roriz, with Tinta Barroca and Alicante Bouschet for the rest, all aged for 14 months in used French oak. It comes in at 14% alcohol. This was bottled a few weeks before tasting. Another 2017 with big flavor and expressive fruit, this also has a fresh feel, reasonable concentration and a beautiful, long finish. It adds admirable mid-palate finesse too. It sometimes seems a bit lighter and fresher, but its utterly gorgeous fruit takes this to a different level. It looks like a super Meandro, one of the best, and a fine bargain. It should age well. $25 Our Price $19.95

NV Niepoort 10 Year Old Tawny Port
The NV 10 Year Old Tawny Port was bottled in 2015 with a long cork. This is a lovely 10 Year Tawny, elegant in the mid-palate, but complex, precise and focused. There's a bit of a bite on the finish, giving it some length to go with the flavor. The next day it was more about power, with considerable intensity of old-tawny flavor as well, more than I normally see in a 10 Year Old. This is a fine one for the category. It showed best around 56 degrees Fahrenheit. Don't drink it too warm. $42 Our Price $37.99 (Arrives 4/24/20)
2018 The Calling Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Winemaker Notes: A vibrant nose with enticing aromas of white peach, white roses and honeysuckle. The crisp acidity on the palate is balanced by bright fruit notes of Gravenstein apple, pear and stone fruit that linger with a refreshing, elegant finish. $30 Our Price $24.39
2018 Luli Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
Winemaker Notes: With a brilliant garnet hue, the Luli Pinot Noir bursts from the glass with powerful aromatics of Bing cherry, strawberry cream, and baked plum. The morning fog and coastal breezes that pour into the Santa Lucia Highlands envelop the palate in the form of rose petal, blackberry crumble, red currant, and sage undertones. These rugged slopes stress the vines, producing fruit of exceptional complexity and structure, which reflect in the wine’s lively acidity and elegant tannin. $25 Our Price $19.99
