Winemaker Notes: From the beautiful Silver Pines Vineyard at nearly 1000 ft. elevation on Sonoma Mountain, this Pinot Noir is a blend of clones UCD 23 and Pommard. The masculinity of clone 23 blends beautifully with the perfume and complexity of Pommard. 2018 Le Clos Du Caillou Cotes du Rhone Rose
Winemaker Notes: Hand-harvested. Pressed full cluster (rosé de pressurage). Juice left to settle overnight in temperature-controlled tanks. Fermented on indigenous yeasts in tank. Aged in tank for five months. TASTING IMPRESSIONS: Aromas of summer raspberries, light herbs, lavender, red plums. Fresh, medium-bodied, tangy; red berries, wild strawberries. The 2017 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is sourced from seven vineyards across the appellation. It was barrel fermented and aged 10 months in 33% new French oak. It opens with toast, fresh pear and apple fruit with notes of lemon cream, honeysuckle, pie crust and sweet spices. Medium-bodied, it's rounded and creamy in the mouth with good fruit intensity tempered by toasty oak notes, enlivened by refreshing acidity and finishing long.
