2014 Bogle Phantom

Winemaker Notes: Phantom, Bogle’s mysterious apparition of ripe berry and relentless spice, returns to haunt wine lovers. Full of concentration and intensity, this wine will tease, tantalize and linger long after the last sip is gone. Wild berries, black pepper are framed by the influence of oak aging with baking spices and a hint of toasty vanilla. 42% Petite Sirah, 34% Zinfandel, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. $20 Our Price $13.95 (Back in stock)

2016 Rombauer Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes: This wine is vibrant dark purple with a fuchsia rim. The nose is expressive, with aromas of red fruit, cassis and toast. The wine is full-bodied, packed with flavors of boysenberry, raspberry and black cherry, along with notes of sweet tobacco, cedar and vanilla. Supple tannins carry through to a lingering finish. $65 Our Price $59.99

James Suckling 95 Points
Tenuta di Biserno Toscana Il Pino di Biserno 2015

A very subtle but promising nose with dried lavender, conifer, dried herbs, nutmeg and even citrus. Full-bodied with ripe but tightly wound tannins that coat the mouth with dark and dried-fruit flavors. The acidity lifts this long through the finish, which is grainy and stony. A blend of cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot. Drink in 2022. $55 Our Price $46.99

2016 DOMAINE GACHOT-MONOT
CÔTE DE NUITS-VILLAGES

Notes from Will Meinberg: Being a Burgundy lover on a budget is not always easy, but finding a producer you can trust makes the search much simpler. Damien Gachot has produced a wine that aims to please every Burgundy lover’s palate. Sourcing grapes from the village of Corgoloin in the southern end of the Côtes de Nuits, he presents a wine with the velvety character of the Côtes de Beaune while maintaining the structure and finesse of the Côtes de Nuits. From the soft fruit to the exotic spice, this bottle provides something for everyone. $36 Our Price $28.99

2016 JAX Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes: Our grapes are handpicked, sorted and cold-soaked immediately after picking. Following fermentation, this wine was aged for 21 months in French oak, 70% new. This wine offers dark, concentrated depth and character. Given a few minutes or hours after opening a bottle, the aromatics will continue to evolve and improve. 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc $50 Our Price $44.99 (Back in stock)

 2017 Jakob Schneider Niederhauser
Hermanshöhle Riesling Spätlese

This is a very elegant Spätlese with a ton of peach, nectarine and citrus aromas and a great balance of succulence and vibrancy. So bright and joyful at the finish. Drink or hold, if you can resist it right now. $40 Our Price $32.95 (Arrives this afternoon)

2016 Boich Beckstoffer Georges III
Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes: This historic heritage site never disappoints. Signature black cherry components are all over the nose and palate with even more dark fruit components and blackberry preserve notes than previous vintages. Fruit-driven with a touch of Rutherford dust on the palate, a curious note of sabarilla and sweet spice make the full-bodied G3 Cabernet memorable and intriguing. Soft, round tannins give a hedonistic edge to this wine. With a great length of finish this wine is showing its best in the 2016 vintage. $160 (Delicious!)

Wine Spectator 93

Moët & Chandon Brut Champagne Dom Pérignon
Legacy Edition 2008

Vivid acidity is a hallmark of the 2008 vintage in Champagne, contributing to the decision by Richard Geoffroy, Dom Pérignon’s chef de cave from 1990 to the close of 2018, to release the 2009 last year, ahead of this year’s release of the 2008. Cool conditions prevailed in Champagne during most of the 2008 growing season, but September’s bright and sunny weather during harvest rapidly turned what would have been an average vintage into one of the decade’s best. The Legacy Edition label honors Geoffroy’s pending retirement, including his name and that of his successor, Vincent Chaperon, on the label. The identical cuvée will be sold with the regular Dom Pérignon label beginning in 2019. $180

2016 North Edna Valley Pinot Noir

Producer Notes: I named our Pinot/Chardonnay vineyard North because that exposure shapes the fruit; just as coming from Northern Ireland has greatly shaped me. As much as winemakers love to talk roots, and geography, there is so much more to any great wine. John is very attentive to fostering and protecting all the unique aspects of the North vineyard but he has no preconception or bias as to what is ‘supposed’ to come out of that block. You’ve all likely heard or read him rail about the idea of noble grapes, pedigree, and appellation: he believes that nobility in wine, and people, is an achievement, not a birthright. 2016 North Pinot Noir is a singular and unique wine with gun powder, broad shoulders, blue

and red fruits, and a graceful finish. There may be no variety that rivals Pinot in the certainty of its zealots as to ‘what it’s supposed to be.’ All I can say is I’m certain what this Pinot was meant to be; and that’s what we bottled. It’s not shy, but the same has been said of me… Lorraine Alban. $75
