2014 David Clinton Teldeschi Vineyard Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County

Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Ancient Vine vintage from Teldeschi Vineyard showcases the rich fruit and flavor concentration associated with vines of this age and pedigree. Building on the style we have demonstrated in previous vintages, this wine shows vibrant aromas and fresh flavors of raspberry, blackberry, black cherry, and blueberry, with slight notes of licorice, tar and vanilla. The finish on this wine is not bashful, filled with spice and black pepper that integrate with and complement the wine’s tannins. The wine’s bold flavors and complex, yet balanced structure allows it to pair nicely with a broad range of food styles, including pasta dishes, grilled meats and vegetables, and barbecue. $29 (Arrives 8/25/17)

Winemaker Notes: A pure fruit expression of Talbott Chardonnay, Kali Hart is lush and lively. Minimal winemaker influence allows Kali Hart Chardonnay to showcase the strength of Talbott's estate vineyards. The rich, inviting nose shows bright tropical notes that continue on the palate, where refreshing flavors of pineapple and honeydew are complimented by refreshing acidity. A generous mid-palate leads to a long citrus and tropical fruit finish with hints of French oak and minerality. $18 Our Price $14.99

2014 Walter Hansel Winery Chardonnay North Slope Vineyard

The 2014 Chardonnay The North Slope comes from sandy, rich and fertile Goldridge soils. This wine exhibits plenty of honeyed brioche, with a greenish hue to its light-gold color, followed by notes of buttery hazelnuts, poached pear, pineapple and citrus oil. This is French in style as well, but with an almost lavish richness like a top-flight French Bâtard-Montrachet. It should drink well for 5-6 years. $35 (Arrives 8/25/17)

2015 Killian Russian River Chardonnay

Winemaker Notes: Attractive, light gold color with an open star jasmine, citrus blossom nose above red apple, stone fruit and hints of smoky oak. Flavors are reminiscent of fresh apple and pear, and are framed in a richly bodied mouthfeel that finishes with balanced acidity and just a hint of fruit sweetness. This will be one of the best aging of the Killian Chardonnays and should be optimally balanced about a year after release. $26 Our Price $24.99

2014 Frank Family Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes: A classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine shows its Rutherford base with bountiful aromas of cocoa, red currant, cinnamon and blackberry; full bodied with moderate tannins and a long finish, the wine sings with flavors of chocolate, kirsch, and eucalyptus. $55 Our Price $46.99

2014 David Arthur • Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147

The flagship wine, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147, is all Cabernet Sauvignon compared to the Old Vine, which is 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Petit Verdot, and the Three Acre that is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with 2% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This is pedal-to-the-metal, seriously endowed, full-throttle Cabernet Sauvignon from Pritchard Hill. Chocolate, crème de cassis, incense, graphite and earth make for a complex, multidimensional set of aromatics. Full-bodied, round, juicy and, like so many 2014s, already showing complexity and easy appeal. This full-bodied, layered and rich Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well for another 20-25 years, but there is no reason to defer gratification. $225 Limited

Shafer Vineyards 2014 Relentless Napa Valley

Shafer's 2014 Relentless is fabulous. The most expressive and varietally expressive of the three vintages of Relentless I tasted. In 2014, Relentless has 11% Petite Sirah, which, along with the personality of the year, kicks up the aromatics and flavors in a meaningful way. Lavender, mint, violets and crème de cassis notes are laced into the super-expressive finish. The 2014 is shaping up to be a real gem. $97 (Arrives 9/1/17)

2013 Meteor Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Perseid

The opaque blue/purple 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Perseid, from vineyard in the southeast sector of Napa Valley, really is strutting its stuff. It's backward, shows loads of minerality and earth, but the tannic structure is strong, the wine inky purple with plenty of blackberry and cassis. The mouth layers are incredible and the finish just goes on and on. This is a remarkable effort that should age effortlessly for 25-30 years. In fact it probably won't be even hitting its plateau for another 5-6 years. $125 Our Price $110.99 (Arrives 8/25/17)
